Welcome!
Competitive Math Academy (CMA) is a residential summer camp from that will take place from July 7 to July 25, 2013 on the campus of Bentley University in Waltham, MA which is just outside of Boston. We hope to expose young mathematicians (mostly high school students) to a rigorous and exciting set of problems to solve, some in a classroom setting and some in a competition setting. By the end of camp, the students will have many more tools in their 'toolbox' to use as they grow as mathematicians!
Because CMA is interested in seeing our students succeed in 'competitive mathematics', we will concern ourselves with preparation for math contests such as the AMC, the AIME, and various state championships (like NYSML). Some students may even be thinking about contests like ARML or USAMO, and we will have good challenges for them as well. Whatever the level of ability of the student is, CMA will look to take that student to the next level.
The program will offer the opportunity to work with established and successful math team coaches who will work with students on problem solving techniques as well as some curriculum that is accessible to high school students but not traditionally taught in high schools.
